Ultra-budget airline Ryanair is launching a high-class corporate jet service
When you think about Ryanair, the word "luxury" doesn't spring to mind.After all, it's one of Europe's largest budget airlines and prides itself on being a "no-frills" carrier where the cost of ticket includes minimal service. For example, you pay extra to eat or drink on board and even to check in bags. So, one thing you definitely don't associate with Ryanair is "high class private jets."But that's all set to change, as the airline is launching a chartered corporate jet hire service.Ryanair spokesman Robin Kiely said in a statement that the company was excited to get into the corporate market, saying the jets would be "newly customised Boeing 737-700, seating up to 60 passengers, on business class, reclining, leather seats, crewed by Ryanair’s industry leading pilot and cabin crew professionals."He added that those jets would be available for "private charter."The spruced up planes would include "fine dining" and is being aimed at companies, sports teams and governments. The planes can be hired for destinations "up to six hours away." However, the rental price was not divulged. Ryanair has spent the last two years moving away from its ultra-low budget image, in a strategy known as "Always Getting Better." It seems to have worked as the company attracted more than 100 million customers for the first time ever in 2015.Ryanair's share prices spiked slightly upon hearing the news, before settling at €13.47 (£10.39; $14.75), up from €10.71 (£8.26; $11.73) a year ago.

Low-cost airline Ryanair launches private jet service
The ultra low-cost airline Ryanair is getting into the private jet business.The Irish carrier announced Wednesday it's launching a private jet service to cater to large groups, including corporate customers, sports teams and official government trips.Ryanair (RYAAY) is considered a pioneer in Europe's airline industry by offering cut-throat pricing and a no-frills approach. So this new upscale service seems out-of-step with its traditional business.But the company maintains that it will continue offering low prices."We will offer the best rates... the most competitive rates in Europe," Ryanair's head of communications Robin Kiely told CNNMoney.The luxury private jet industry shouldn't get concerned about competition yet. The carrier said it only has one Boeing 737-700 that will be used for this service.The new private jet features 60 reclinable leather seats and is designed for flights no longer than six hours. Fine dining catering is also available.The airline has a fleet of 330 Boeing 737-800 jets that are used for normal flights. The company sometimes catered to these requests in the winter, but never had enough planes during the peak summer season, he said.Ryanair has been known for offering rude customer service and charging rage-inducing extra fees. But since 2013, it made a public effort to be kinder to customers and this has helped boost business.For example, Ryanair's traffic grew by 28% to 7.4 million customers in February compared to the same month last year. The company said a big reason behind the surge in business comes down to its "customer experience program.""I think we became overly focused, almost obsessed, on having the lowest cost, sometimes at the expense of the customer experience," the airline's CEO Michael O'Leary said in the past.

Мъча си главата и интернета от няколко дни вече и за това реших да пиша във форума за да искам съвета Ви коя от следните "Стратегии за интернализация/глобализация" според Вас най-пасва на експанзията на Раянер в България/Източна Европа.

Колебая се между "Portfolio Strategy" "Hub Strategy".

Въпросът ми е Раян Еър имат ли автономни клонове в държавите, в които имат бази?
Представителствата в държавите взимат ли автономни решения или всичко се решава в Дъблин?
Може ли да разглеждаме пазара им на региони (Източна Европа) що се отнася до стратерията им за експанзия и навлизане на нови пазари (България) или по-скоро процесът им на интернализация е стандартизиран?

Home Base Strategy:

In this type of strategy organization maintain R & D and manufacturing in the country of origin. This type of strategy is useful when economies of concentration outweigh those of dispersion. Bulk of the fortune 500 company still follows this type of strategy. Even organizations that move on globally followed home base strategy for a very long period of time.

This type of regional strategy is very effective for time-sensitive items to get to the market very quickly however these strategy cut down organizations future growth potential and it can put themselves in trouble once market matures or when there are some uncertain economic condition.


Portfolio Strategy:

The strategy involves setting up or acquiring business outside the home region that report directly to the home base. The advantage of this strategy is that it provides faster growth in non home region and the opportunity to average out economic shocks and cycles across region.

Though portfolio strategy is simple however it takes time to implement if organization wants to expand through organic growth. Even though if organization takes Merger & Acquisition route then also it takes some time.

Hub Strategy:

Companies that wanted to add value to their regional level develops HUB strategy. Hub strategy provides shared service with in a region to different countries. This kind of strategy develops to create economy of scale because such resources may be hard for one country to justify.

In a purest form Hub strategy is a multiregional version of the home base strategy. Hub strategy often involves transforming a foreign operation in a stand-alone unit.

The challenging in executing a Hub strategy is achieving a right balance between customization & standardization. Companies too responsive to interregional variation risk adding too much cost or sacrificing too many opportunities to share cost across the regions. As a result, they may find themselves vulnerable to attacks from companies taking a more standardized approach. On the other hand, the companies that try to standardize across regional hub- and in so doing overestimate the degree of commonality from region to region-are vulnerable to competition from local players.

The Platform Strategy:

Hubs spread fixed cost across countries within a region. Interregional platforms go a step further by spreading fixed cost across the region. Most automaker tries to reduce the number of basic platform they offer worldwide in order to achieve economies of scale in design, engineering, administration, procurement and operations.

The idea behind reducing the number of platform is not to offer less varieties but to offer variety with cost effectiveness.

One drawback of platform strategy is that taking platform standardized too far can backfire if regional customization creates excessive disparity across regions.

Mandate Strategy:

It focuses on economies of specialization as well as scale. Companies that adopt this strategy award certain regions broad mandates to supply particular products or perform particular roles for the whole organization.

One drawback of this strategy is that it can’t handle variation in country, national or regional condition that’s why Toyota IMV excludes the US.

Може да са решили да базират още един самолет, да добавят още няколко дестинации. Иначе за таксите не ми се вярва, защото през първата година така или иначе летището им дава огромни отстъпки.

В колко часа и къде ще е пресконференцията?

На 31 март е бил доставен 400-ят 737 (EI-FRC) на Ryanair след 9:24 часов полет, направен е за 33 дни, първите доставки са в далечната 1999, през 2024 се планира да станат 500, пилотиран от италианец Фабиан Шони и т.н. разни интересни подробности.....
